Step 1: Consulting

Your Emergency Department Revolution begins with our initial consult.

At this time our team will meet you and your Emergency Department Staff. We will provide in depth questionnaires to all of your ED staff: EMS, registration personel, plant operations all the up to your doctors, including other departments the ED works with. The questionnaires will be distributed about one week prior to our arrival. We will conduct personal interviews with each of your team members along the way.

We will conduct a physical survey of your ED layout.

We will identify the obstacles and identify the foundation points to improve your efficiency.

After this evaluation we will provide you and the heads of your department with our results and an in depth, step by step plan to improve your ED.

Steps 2-4

We are in this together.

We believe that these are the most crucial points of our plan.

After you have gotten your custom plan, your ED leaders will be able to contact us for questions and advice.

At 3 month post eval. (E + 3). We will revisit your site for follow up and see how the plan is moving. It is at this point that we get another chance to re-visit your nurses and ED doctors as well as revisit the chiefs of Radiology and Internal Medicine or Hospitalist. At E+3 we make sure the plan is flowing and that we are on the pathway.

After this visit you will get an E+3 progress report.

At E+6 we again revisit to fine tune and identify any new obstacles that have sprung up. Here again we will personally follow up with all the ED member teams and outside departments. At this point we will have firm data that will show your turnaround has begun. After E+6 you will get a second written summary of our findings and a precise plan for continued improvement.

At E+12 you are well on your way. We revisit and go through our procedure. We have hard data by this time and you will see tangible results. We will also ask you for feedback on us.

At EDA we are not satisfied until you are. Our mission is to enable you to use your tools to provide the best possible Emergency Department care to the people of your community.
